This is the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers ("CPR"). If you are not a healthcare provider, or you do not need a Healthcare Provider level of CPR, then please call our office for a solution. Upon registering for this course you will be issued access to the American Heart Association's BLS HeartCode online course (Part I). After completing the online portion of this course you will print out your online course completion certificate and bring to your skills practice and testing session (Parts II & III). Upon successfully having your skills verified you will be issued a BLS course completion eCard, valid for 2 years! The online portion (Part I) of this course is approximately 2.5 hours (average). The skills practice (Part II) and skills testing (Part III) can take up to 1 hour (average).
Throughout this course, you will learn, practice, and apply the following:
- New science and education from the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC
- The components of high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival for prehospital and in-facility providers
- Important early use of an AED
- Effective ventilation using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Before attending this course, you should:
- Complete the Online BLS Course before attending this course. The online course work link will be emailed to you (directly from the AHA) in 1-3 days after registration (remember to check junk/spam).
Faculty: All healthcare providers where BLS is required for their workplace requirement/scope of practice. Additionally, students of health care programs (i.e., RN Students, Medical Students, NP Students, PA Students, etc. may also attend this program), and more. If you are taking this course for entry into school (ie. Nursing, Medicine, etc) then this course is accepted as your skills are verified in-person without American Heart Association Instructor.
Contact hours (nursing): We are not permitted to issue ANCC contact hours for this course.
